Buttermilk Hefeplinsen (Buttermilk - Pancake with yeast)
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cups of buttermilk
- 30 g of yeast ( fresh)
- 3 eggs
- 40 g of sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 250 g of flour
- About 100 ml of linseed oil
- Cinnamon sugar or applesauce
Preparation
Heat up the buttermilk in a pot slightly warm, take of the stove and dissolve the yeast completely in this under stirring. Give this yeast into a mixing bowl. Separate the eggs which open egg-white to very stiff snow.
Give sugar, salt and the egg yolk to the yeast in the bowl. Sift this and also stir in the flour. Give the beaten egg white on the dough and fold in carefully with a big egg-whisk for the end. Let the dough covered up and rest it at a warm place for 1 hour.
Heate up linseed oil in a pan and deep-fry 12 Hefeplinsen in the remaining oil. Make sure u turn it on every side to fry it evenly. It should turn yellow little by little. Put the Pancake in the about 50° degrees Celsius hot oven.
Serve the buttermilk Hefeplinsen with cinnamon sugar or with apple sauce and cream toppings. Mmmhhh delicious!
