Spreewald fast cucumbers
Ingredients: - 1 kilogram of green cucumbers
- 2 onions
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 3 soup spoons of sugar
- 3 teaspoons of mustard seed
- 6 soup spoons of vinegar (gas vinegar 10%)
- 2 bay leaves
- Peppercorns
Preparation
Peel the cucumbers and cut into slices. Put salt, mustard seed, sugar and vinegar in a cup and mix. Cut onion in rings.
Put cucumbers in a bowl in layers and add onion rings, peppercorns, 2 bay leaves and herb mixture. Mix well and let it rest for awhile.
After that the cucumbers are ready to serve.
