Pickled herring
Ingredients:
- 4 salted herrings
- (or 8 herring fillets filleted matie.)
- 4-5 medium-sized pickled cucumbers
- 2 cups of soured cream
- Two little onions
- A touch linseed oil at own discretion
- Salt, pepper
Preparation
Wash, bone, peel and divide the salted herrings into pieces.
Bought herring fillets are already peeled and boned. Share the pieces of sirloin the way you want or take the whole.
Add to checked pickled cucumbers a little linseed oil, the chopped onions, soured cream and put everything to the herrings. Salt and pepper it carefully since salted herrings are already very salty.
Mix everything and boil about 2.5 hours.
Taste it, refine with a touch of linseed oil, if you want.
The linseed oil is not everyone's thing, therefore there is no indication of quantity for it. Simply measuring out in an estimation of yourself.
Eat jacked potatoes with it, that is the best.
