The castle with its park is the oldest part of the city of Lübbenau. Archaeological excavations supplied equipment from the Mesolithic period days. Objects were also found here of the bronze and Iron Age.
Today can a big park be found in the so-called castle district with old tree population and ponds laid out artificially. The nature-lover can admire common beeches, tulip tree, pin oaks and marsh cypresses at its walk by the park.
The castle of the count's power of Lynar is over a long distance visible. It houses a 4-Stars- Hotel with 46 comfortable rooms. Its appearance of today got the castle between the years 1817 and 1839.
Some historically valuable buildings are opposite number of the castle. So for example the orangey, the former justice and court registry (in which still up to half of the 19th century court proceedings took place) and the ivy house at the receipt of the castle area. The latter got its name because it was quite overgrown with ivy once. A walk by the park can be recommended to every season.

The park in the castle district is always open, no entrance moneys are raised. A Hotel houses the castle with castle restaurant, hunting room and sunroof. A varied menu with regional and international dishes expects you. The orangey with café and restaurant invites you to enjoying. A seasonal food spoils your palate. There is a water playground for the little guests in the garden.
