Paddle in the Spreewald

Paddle in the SpreewaldThe boat tour with canoe by the Spreewald is one of the most popular ways to discover this unique landscape. The waterways are marked very well. We strictly recommend you to use a water trail map.

Numerous animal and species of plant wait to be discovered by you. Dragon-flies will accompany your paddle tour and canoe tour. High trees and rare counterfeit bills line the channels and make seem fantastic to the landscape of the Spreewald. Perhaps you are lucky and will see an otter, heron or even the rare kingfisher.

Because of the partly considerable differences in altitude between the channels some sluices which are operated into self-service have to be overcome in case of your journey. Children and teenagers who, that way, improve their pocket-money will helpfully suit you aside from time to time. This has tradition and you should not consider it annoying.

One helps you with a little saying by the sluice and you thank you (voluntarily) with a "sluice groschen". (Tip: 0.50 to 1.00 euro per boat.)

We are concerned about what

Please pay attention at your water tour to a mutual consideration. You are not away alone. In principle, small boats have right of way! Handle nature carefully. Paper, plastic and other refuse do not belong in the landscape. Places only expelled to the shore leave use.
