Starting point is the Burger port in Burg Dorf. We drive on the main street in the direction of Straupitz. The little Spree goes on the right next to the street. We bend in the time, about 450 metres after on the left to the ring high road more briefly. Soon, but we leave these again and follow the Wendenkönigstraße going again on the left. On the quiet minor road it passes by to spreewald typical farmstead scattered, and it is worthwhile to fetch the camera from the luggage. Who is interested in embroiding dresses pays a short visit in the small dress exhibition to Mrs Dziumbla. It is the only woman who can produce the effortful, big Burger hoods to the special day dress.
After a while we come onto the ring high road again and drive to the right now. We are in castle Kauper. We past bend in metres on the left at the country hotel with petting zoo to the woods small castle street after about 500. A cycle track at the end of this street leads directly to Leipe. This former little fishing village was built at the end of the 14th century and was attainable only with the small boat many years. A work way along the mainspree from Lübbenau to Leipe was laid out in 1936. And only 1968 Leipe got today's solid dam street. Who needs a break now stops off in the fisherman little room, in the inn queue king or in the café to the Spreewälderin.
Our way leads on, then on the left on this one kind way to Lübbenau by the village. We are in the protected area 1 of the biopshere reserve now. This part of the timber forest is not managed and therefore is up to the natural curriculum vitae. We drive along on the right after about 6 kilometres about the Mainspree and at the pike ditch into the Spreewald village Lehde.
Our recommendation: Parking bicycle here and having a walk by Lehde. In addition, visit the Freilandmuseum ( museum of the old style of life in Lehde).
The same is the way back to Leipe. We leave the place and passes the Dubkow mill by Leipe . We then come, to crossroads these introduce themselves turning left to Burg Kolonie. Now still around 3 kilometres up to the next cross-roads. Here we have straight ahead, then reached Burg Dorf soon.
